This resource displays the findings of a 2007 citywide tree canopy study for the city of Toronto focusing on the sustainability of Urban Forestry and the recreational/health benefits it provides to local communities.

The research was conducted in collaboration with the General Manager of Parks and Forestry, USDA Forest Service and the University of Vermont analysis laboratory.

The source breaks down impacts that affect Toronto Forestry, including the impacts of climate change and urbanization. It also includes the study's methodology, results and discussion, such as impact of Urban Forest in the Don watershed and forest compositions throughout the city.

While the study was conducted in 2007, its most recent update occurred in 2013.
