Critical Hope - "Widening Circles" activity
Description
This activity is part of a larger environmental education workshop package called Critical Hope; An Approach to Environmental Education which includes almost 30 group or classroom activities.
This stand-alone activity asks small groups to imagine different and widening points of view about a current issue. They use what the authors call their “ethical imagination” to examine their own point of view, the point of view of an opposing person, the view of a nonhuman being and the view of someone in the future. A highly adaptable activity.
