Arctic Oscillation
Description
'Arctic Ossilation' is a module designed to help students explore the history and importance of arctic oscillation and predict what a change in phase might mean. After reading through the scenario and using the additional resources provided, students complete investigations to gain further insights into the arctic. All of the investigations for this module are rated a beginners level for various grades (from K-4 up to 9-12). A list of the investigations can be found below and are found in full on the 'Arctic Ossilation Module' link.
The NASA Global Climate Change Education/Earth Science Education Alliance (ESSEA) modules include situations, connections to standards, resources and sample investigations. Unless labeled K-4 the modules can be adapted for middle and high school students.
