Canada's Climate Change Calendar
Description
Canada’s Climate Change Calendar describes the impacts of climate change on more than 170 countries, and draws attention to the inspiring actions that communities are taking to fight climate change at home.
The Climate Change Calendar is an interactive calendar with the names of different countires throughout. When students click on these countries they find out exactly how many days it will take the average Canadian to produce the same amount of greenhouse gas as that country will create in an entire year.
EXAMPLE: on the Climate Change Calendar, the country of Burundi can be found on January 5th because it takes, on avergae, only 5 days for a Canadian to emit as much greenhouse gas as the average Burudian will create in ONE YEAR!
The Calendar also includes stories about life in each of the countries posted and ways in which these countires work to lower their greenhouse gas emiisions.
Language: English
