Description

This lesson provides a plan for reducing the average number of vehicles driving daily to school. The goal is to:

• raise awareness of transportation issues and related environmental effects
• organize school-wide events such as a Cycle-to-School or Car-free Days
• strengthen the sustainable transportation infrastructure within the school community.

Any school group can use the off ramp framework to develop car trip reduction strategies.

Time Required: Three months for planning, implementation and evaluation
